
Sunrise Christian College Foundation of the Philippines Inc. once again administered a week long celebration of intramurals last September 24-28, 2007 at Sunrise Christian College Campus located at P-2b Bonbon Butuan City. This week long celebration was kicked off by a motorcade on the opening day September 24 and was followed by the cheer-dance competition. Various teams competed in this category and it was the 2nd year high school students and the COED department who won the first prize. In the afternoon, different outdoor games were conducted. We had a basketball tournament, volleyball, and german soccer. We also had indoor games. This are comprised of chess, table tennis, badminton, and word factory. These competencies are conducted in the series of days from Tuesday until Friday.
During these various competition the high school and college department competed accordingly. These are the run downs of the winners.

The highlight of this week long celebration is the Search for the Mr. and Ms. SCC 2007 wherein it was participated by the Elementary, High school and College department. The pageant was comprised of the following categories. These are the talents night, the sports wear, casual wear, swimwear wear and the formal or evening wear. The talents night was held during the 1st night of the celebration. And the Literary Musical contest was conducted at the night of September 25 wherein various competencies were competed. These were the Interpretative Dance, Song Solo, “Doble Kara” and Ethnic Dance. Then, during the 4th night of the celebration the Little Master and Ms. SCC 2007 was held. In the light of this event it was Ms. Jemimah Ganancial and Mr. Opulencia for the Little Master and Ms. SCC 2007. And in the 5th night the Mr and Ms SCC was conducted and this was participated by students coming from the Secondary and Tertiary Level. There are seven contestants both in the male and female category.
And the one who was crowned Mr and Ms SCC 2007 is Mr. John Gilbert Pocon of Second Year High School Department and Ms. Jennelyn Timosa of the HRM department.
This one week celebration enabled the students of Sunrise Christian College to enjoy life and let them experience that education is not only through a traditional way of teaching but it implies that experience is the best educator.
