SCC inks exchange program with KCU

July 26, 2007 is a very significant day in the history of Sunrise Christian College as it marks the first friendly visit of an Asian Christian University, the Korea Christian University.

Korea Christian University representatives,Mr. Yeon W. Yoo, Chief of Planning Affairs and Dr. Byung H. Moon, Dean of Graduate Studies were given a very warm welcome by an enthusiastic group of students and teachers upon their arrival at Sunrise Christian College Campus.

At an evening program with the theme “Congenial Visit of the Year” was staged at the Multi-purpose building. The visitors were entertained with Christian songs and ethnic dances by selected students. In his welcome address, SCC President Dr. Samuel B. Cariaga said that the visit was meant to established the tie-up with Korea Christian University for Sunrise Christian College to send students and teachers to Korea to study Korean Cultures and Traditions and even their Technologies. While KCU will send their students to SCC to study english under the Crash Course Program.

In his closing remarks, Dr. Byung Moon expressed their sincere thanks to the SCC community for the very warm welcome afforded to them. Prior to their return trip to Korea, SCC President Dr. Samuel Cariaga signed the exchange program with Dr. Byung Moon and Mr. Yeon Yoo. Development of the pact will be known within the next few days.

  2. I commend the board of Trustees and college leaders in reaching out to Korea to establish partnerships that will benefit students and faculties from both schools.

    I was impressed to see that the orphans will be taken care of.
