President’s Welcome Address

Our beloved Founder’s wife, my Mom Avelina Cariaga, Our friends from Korea Christian University Mr. Yeon W. Yoo & Dr. Byung H. Moon, PTA President Mr. Edwardo Poliran, City Planning Officer Mrs. Esther Guno, Parents, visitors, our Deans, Teachers, Staff and Students who have joined hand in hand to this program “The Congenial Visit of the Year 2007”, good evening.

This is a great night and a great event for all of us as we welcome our visitors especially from our neighboring country Korea and Sister Christian School, Korea Christian University. It is our honor and privileged to have you here, with God’s blessing, may your visit be a fruitful one as we talk of the possibility of future partnership.

Learning to partner from different cultures is innovativeness in today’s global society. The popularity and practicality of partnership attest to the wisdom of institutional strategy and the importance of deepening our understanding of the relationship between education and democracy.

Educational collaborations have emerged from the broad spectrum of reform initiatives as a means to improving educational attainment, both for our highest and lowest achieving students. Bringing together schools, colleges, universities like KCU, parents, and community leaders, collaborative projects have attempted to renew the democratic value of education, equalize educational opportunity, support our nations teachers, breakdown institutional barriers, and share resources for maximum benefits.

Other benefits of Educational Partnership are the following:

  1. It stimulates action
  2. A shared vision and deep commitment among partners can overcome weaknesses in program design and implementation.
  3. Each participating organization is challenged to change policies and procedures to accommodate a new way of working with others

The promise of partnership lies in our continuous effort to achieve both deep and wide educational change and Christian values which is the core of Christian Education should always be the foundation for that educational change.

May the Lord God will bless us of all our efforts as this advocacy in educating the young minds will benefit our country, the younger generation and for God’s glory.

Again Welcome and Good Evening, may you enjoy the rest of the program.

Samuel B. Cariaga M.D.
