SCC’s NEW SET OF BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Highly recommended twelve (12) personalities for our school’s Board of Trustees visited our college during the arrival of Dr. Mike Oneal, the president of Oklahoma Christian University and Professor for theological studies Dr. Chip Kooi and Dr. Scott Harper last July 21, 2006. After the thorough review of the recommended brethren to comprise our new BOT, there was another set of meeting arranged for them to tackle. Last October 22, the New Board of Trustees members were formally appointed and were witnessed by the brethren worshiping in the campus. Brother Conrado C. Evangelista was chosen as chairman of the board and brother Gabriel Valdez was appointed as secretary. Both are members from Kabacan Church of Christ. Brother Antonio Balagot and Brother Anatalio Valdez are also members from Kabacan Church of Christ. There were another six members from Cebu, namely: Bro. Herman Z. Bastonero, Bro. Salvador B. Cariaga, Bro. Macario S. Arcilla Jr. , Bro. Romeo Ang, Sis. Bernie Cal and Bro. Elmer Palacio. Another member of the board is Bro. Elmer S. Emperado. He is the minister from Cagayan de Oro City Church of Christ, and Brother Junas Sagurit is from Pangasinan, Luzon. The former President and founder of the college Brother Roman G. Cariaga conducted the oath taking. There were four absent members of the board. The SCC administration looks forward for a brighter working camaraderie with the new set of the BOT who are mostly preachers, church leaders and a school administrator.
